AIM Training · For individuals

Change management training that survives contact with real change.

No exams. No generic case studies. You bring a real change you are living or leading, apply the Accelerating Implementation Methodology (AIM) to it, and leave with completed work product plus a credential that counts.

IMA Worldwide's individual AIM journey runs from readiness to mastery: the Individual Readiness Assessment, ChangePro, Introduction to AIM, then the Practitioner, Trainer, and Master credentials in sequence. You train on a real change and can bring your own AI. Individuals enroll at Implementation Labs; teams contact IMA Worldwide for a private session.

Applied to a real initiative, not a case study.

Why applied training

Most change training ends at the certificate. The change does not care.

According to McKinsey and Company's long-running research, roughly 70 percent of transformations fail (McKinsey, Why do most transformations fail?). Prosci's benchmarking research across two decades points the same direction: projects with excellent change management are far more likely to meet objectives (Prosci benchmarking research). Knowing the theory is not the gap. Applying it to a live change, while it is happening, is. That is the difference AIM training is built around.

Typical change training

  • Generic case studies you will never meet again
  • Pass an exam, get a certificate, forget the content
  • Theory first, application left to you
  • Ends when the class ends

AIM applied training

  • You work on a real initiative you choose
  • Certification earned by demonstrated application, not an exam
  • You leave with completed work product you use immediately
  • A credential path that continues to Trainer and Master

The comments we hear most often after class

Often heard after Introduction to AIM

One of the most relevant courses I've been on for a long time!

This was probably the best course I've been on for many years. The pre-work, course materials and the presenter were all first class.

I found that sharing and working through your own experiences was extremely beneficial.

Often heard after AIM Practitioner Certification

I didn't realize how valuable and fast the information I learned would become useful. I have already been tasked to write a business case for action for a proposed initiative within my organization. I just submitted my first draft.

I left with a greater knowledge of factors that affect implementing change and a better understanding of why many changes only result in installation efforts and are quite often never implemented.

The experiential learning activities were great. I also appreciated the real world examples.

Individual programs · The individual AIM journey

Choose the program that fits your role, on a path from readiness to mastery

Every program is a stage on one personal journey: first see where you stand in the change, build your capability, then earn the AIM credentials in sequence. Each stage is also a career step, and your AI can travel the whole road with you: the assistant you already use learns AIM alongside you, stage by stage. The highlighted stages are the programs you can enroll in today.

The individual AIM journey: six stages on a rising career growth curve An S-curve of career growth rises from start to mastery through six numbered stops: the Individual Readiness Assessment where you learn where you stand, ChangePro where you lead your team, Introduction to AIM where you step in as a change agent, Practitioner Certification which is the professional credential, AIM Trainer where you train your organization, and AIM Master, enterprise change leadership. Growth compounds through the middle credentials, exactly like the AIM capability curve. 1

Individual Readiness Assessment (IRA)

See where you personally stand in a change: your readiness, your reactions, and where you need support. The individual counterpart to the organization-level Implementation History Assessment.

Your entry point

Career step: know exactly where you stand before you lead anyone else.

With your AI: talk your readiness profile through with the assistant you already use and turn it into a personal plan.

Best for: leading through a change
2

ChangePro Workshop

A short, applied workshop on leading people through change and dealing with change well yourself. Bring a real change you are leading and leave with a clear, personal plan. Stands on its own, outside the certification path. ACMP approved: earns QEP credits toward CCMP.

Career step: the manager's move: lead your own team through a change while staying steady in it yourself.

With your AI: draft your personal change plan together as the workshop builds it.

Best for: starting the implementation path
3

Introduction to AIM

The starting point for people implementing change. An applied introduction to the AIM methodology and roadmap, available as two days in person or three virtual sessions. ACMP approved: earns QEP credits toward CCMP.

Career step: step onto a live initiative as its change agent.

With your AI: your assistant learns the real AIM Roadmap alongside you, instead of inventing its own version.

Best for: leading change for a living
4

AIM Practitioner Certification

The comprehensive program for change leaders, earned by hands-on application to a real initiative rather than an exam. Earns ACMP QEP credits toward CCMP.

Foundation credential

Career step: lead change for a living: the practitioner and consultant credential.

With your AI: the full bring-your-AI option: complete every exercise with your assistant. You leave certified. It leaves fluent in AIM.

5

AIM Trainer

Get certified to teach AIM to others, so you can build capability in the people around you.

Prerequisite: AIM Practitioner

Career step: the L&D move: become your organization's internal AIM trainer.

With your AI: your now-fluent assistant helps you prepare sessions in AIM's own vocabulary while you do the teaching.

Explore the trainer path ›
6

AIM Master

Reach mastery of the methodology, the highest AIM credential, built on both applying and teaching it.

Prerequisite: Practitioner and Trainer

Career step: enterprise change leader: steward AIM across a portfolio or a Center of Excellence.

With your AI: scale the pairing you built in certification: AIM plus AI as the delivery accelerator on every initiative you steward.

The three AIM credentials build in order. AIM Practitioner is required before AIM Trainer, and both are required before AIM Master. You must be able to apply the methodology before you are certified to teach it, and to do both before you master it.

FAQ

Individual training: key questions

1How do I enroll in an AIM class?+
If you are training yourself, sign up at Implementation Labs, the AIM training academy at lab.peacockhillconsulting.com, and we will contact you to work out days and times that work for you. Each program page on imaworldwide.com links straight to the enrollment listing. If you are arranging training for a team, contact IMA Worldwide instead and we will set up a private session.
2Which AIM program should I start with?+
If you are implementing change and building the skill to lead initiatives, start with Introduction to AIM, then move to AIM Practitioner Certification. If you are leading people through change, or want to get better at personally dealing with change, start with ChangePro. ChangePro is a standalone program and is not part of the certification path.
3Do you offer training for teams or organizations?+
Yes. This catalog covers individual training that you buy and complete yourself. For private team sessions, enterprise certification, or licensing the Accelerating Implementation Methodology (AIM) in-house, contact IMA Worldwide rather than enrolling at Implementation Labs. We will scope a private session and group pricing for your team.
4What is the difference between Introduction to AIM, ChangePro, and AIM Practitioner Certification?+
Introduction to AIM teaches the full AIM Roadmap applied to a real initiative you choose, available as two days in person or three virtual sessions. ChangePro is a shorter program focused on leading people through change and personally dealing with change, moving you from confusion to purposeful action. AIM Practitioner Certification is the comprehensive program for change leaders, earned through hands-on application to a real initiative rather than an exam.
5Is AIM training hands-on or theory-based?+
The training is practical and hands-on. You work directly with your own real-world change initiative rather than a generic case study, so you leave with completed work product you can apply immediately. This applied approach is grounded in 40+ years of field research into what makes organizational change stick.
6How is AIM Practitioner Certification earned?+
AIM Practitioner Certification is earned through hands-on application to a real initiative you choose, not through exams or tests. You demonstrate practitioner-level judgment with your actual work. The program earns ACMP QEP credits that count toward CCMP certification.
7What is the individual AIM journey?+
It is the personal path through AIM, from understanding your own position in a change to mastering the methodology. It runs through six stages: the IRA (Individual Readiness Assessment), ChangePro, Introduction to AIM, AIM Practitioner, AIM Trainer, and AIM Master.
8What is the IRA?+
The IRA is the Individual Readiness Assessment. It shows where you personally are in a change: your readiness, your reactions, and where you need support. It is the individual counterpart to the organization-level Implementation History Assessment, and it is the entry point to the journey.
9What are the prerequisites for AIM Trainer and AIM Master?+
AIM Practitioner is the prerequisite for AIM Trainer: you must be able to apply the methodology before you are certified to teach it. Both AIM Practitioner and AIM Trainer are required before AIM Master, the highest AIM credential.
10How much does AIM training cost?+
The ChangePro Workshop is $500, Introduction to AIM is $1,500, and AIM Practitioner Certification is $3,500. Current pricing is always listed at Implementation Labs (lab.peacockhillconsulting.com), where you sign up. For AIM Trainer and AIM Master pricing, and for team or enterprise pricing, contact IMA Worldwide with your questions.
11Can I bring my AI assistant to training?+
Yes, optionally. Bring the assistant you already use and complete the exercises with it as you apply the Accelerating Implementation Methodology (AIM) to your real initiative. You earn the credential; your AI simply becomes fluent in AIM, drafting sponsor asks, communication plans, and reinforcement plans in the methodology's own structure. The training and the methodology are exactly the same with or without one.

Your next change is coming either way. Train for it.

Two doors, one journey. Training yourself? Head to Implementation Labs and sign up for a class. Training a team? Contact IMA Worldwide and we will set up a private session. And if you are an individual who would rather talk it through first, reach out. We are here.
