ChangePro Workshop

You may not have choosen this change. You still have to get through it.

And so does everyone around you. ChangePro is a practical workshop built on a real change you are facing right now: why your reaction is predictable rather than a personal failing, how to stay productive while things are uncertain, and how to recognize what is happening for the people next to you.

ACMP Qualified Education Provider approved

ChangePro is IMA Worldwide's applied workshop for anyone who has to get through a workplace change and help the people around them do the same. Unlike certification programs, it does not train you to run initiatives: you bring a real change you are facing and leave with a personal plan, built on 40+ years of field research behind the Accelerating Implementation Methodology (AIM).

Team navigating change, adapting, and thriving through implementation management strategies.
Who this is for

Built for the people inside the change

The change YOU ABSORB IT You THEY READ YOU The people around you
The double position: absorbing the same disruption as everyone else, and expected to be a steadying presence at the same time.

Most change training is built for the people running transformation initiatives. ChangePro is built for the people working inside them: the ones who absorb the disruption and are still expected to steady everyone else.

ChangePro is most useful when you recognize yourself here:

  • Managers and team leads who are going through the change themselves and still have to steady a team through it
  • HR business partners fielding the reactions a change produces, without owning the initiative
  • Individual contributors who want to stay productive and professional through disruption
  • Anyone who wants a clear, repeatable approach to handling change, with no prior change management experience required
Growth is a choice. ChangePro gives you the toolkit to make it the week you walk out, not the year after.

Why it works

Your reaction is predictable. So is theirs.

Reactions to disruptive change follow a known pattern: footing dips before it recovers. What varies is timing. You may be climbing out while the person next to you is still in the dip, which is why the same message lands differently across a team.

ChangePro teaches you to read where you are on the curve, and where they are. For the pattern itself, read the AIM change curve guide.

You Someone on your team
FOOTING TIME THROUGH THE CHANGE the announcement same dip, different moment you may be climbing out while they are still in it new footing
The dip is predictable, not a personal failing. Reading where each person is on it is a skill.
What you will learn

The concepts behind why change feels hard, and the tools to move through it.

i.

The Gravitational Pull

The habits, systems, and quiet incentives that make staying the same feel safer than moving forward. We name the pull so you can stop confusing it with personal weakness or lack of motivation.

ii.

Your Frame of Reference

How you see the change, where your specific friction points are, and how to reframe them as manageable tasks rather than threats. The lens that changes what you do next.

iii.

The Three Challenges of Personal Change

The structural challenges every person faces in a meaningful change, and a repeatable strategy for responding with intention rather than reacting out of stress.

iv.

A toolkit applied to a change you are in right now

You bring a real change you are working through. The workshop ends with a clear, personal plan applied to that change. Not a worksheet you fill out later. The plan itself.

v.

Leading a team through the same change you are going through

The hardest leadership situation in modern organizations. Your team is looking to you for steadiness you do not always feel. We work through the moves that help: how to acknowledge without amplifying, when to share your own uncertainty and when not to, how to protect your team's attention without performing certainty, and how to respond to someone who is stuck without needing authority over the change.

The format

How does the week work?

Three phases over about a week, wrapped around the change you are living through.

  1. Phase one · Self-paced

    The foundations

Pre-work you complete on your own time: the concepts behind why change feels hard.

  2. Phase two · Live virtual

    Your change, mapped

First live session. You work on the real change you brought, not a case study.

  3. Between sessions

    Apply it where you work

You use the tools inside the actual change, while it is still moving.

  4. Phase three · Live virtual

    Your plan, pressure-tested

Second live session. You leave with the plan itself, not a template.

Where ChangePro sits

What you leave with

A workshop that ends with what you needed when you signed up.

ChangePro is short by design. The aim is not a certificate. The aim is that you leave with a clearer read on the change you are in, on the people around you, and a toolkit you can apply the week you walk out.

  • i.A clear plan for the specific change you brought into the workshop. Built during the live sessions, applied to your actual situation.
  • ii.A step-by-step guide for navigating future transitions, so the next change does not start from zero.
  • iii.Practical techniques for managing shifting roles, tools, priorities, and team dynamics while the work still has to get done.
  • iv.The ability to recognize where other people are in their own response, and why the same message lands differently across a team.
  • v.A way to respond to someone who is stuck that does not require you to have authority over the change.

Frequently asked

Quick answers before you enroll.

Is ChangePro the same as the AIM Practitioner Certification?

No. ChangePro is not about running a change initiative. That is what Introduction to AIM and AIM Practitioner Certification are for. ChangePro is about the human side you are living through right now: your own response to change and your ability to recognize what is happening for the people around you, so you can stay steady and help them stay steady too. The simplest way to hold the line: ChangePro is person to person, the rest of the portfolio is initiative to organization.

How long is the workshop?

ChangePro is a three-phase experience that runs over about a week. Phase one is self-paced pre-work covering the foundations. Phases two and three are two live virtual sessions. Between the sessions you apply what you learn to a real change you are working through.

Will my employer pay for this?

Most participants who expense ChangePro do so through L&D, professional development, or employee assistance budgets. ChangePro is approved through the ACMP Qualified Education Provider (QEP) program, which often makes L&D approval straightforward. The workshop sits inside typical individual-development thresholds, and we can provide an invoice and a short course description for your approval process.

Can I send my whole team?

Yes. For team enrollment of five or more participants we offer team workshops with private sessions and tailored content. Use the contact form to request a quote.

How do I get a class date?

It depends on the class. Some run on published dates you can sign up for directly on the AIM Implementation Lab. Others are flexible: you sign up and pay, then IMA Worldwide contacts you to arrange a time that works. The Lab shows which applies to each class, so check there for what is currently open.

Optional: bring your AI

Work it through with the AI you already use

Every AIM class now teaches you to use AI on the change in front of you, hands-on. In ChangePro that is not about producing documents. It is about thinking your own situation through: naming what you are actually reacting to, testing what you would say to your manager before you say it, and planning the next two weeks when the change is still moving under you. You bring the assistant your organization already allows, and you practice on your own change during the workshop.

Bringing one is entirely optional. The Accelerating Implementation Methodology predates AI assistants by decades and ChangePro runs exactly the same without one. If you do bring one, you leave able to use it on the next change too, and there will be a next change.
